3 days express terelj & kharkhorin tour

Explore Mongolia: 3-Day Adventure Tour Itinerary:    Terelj National Park is a great place to visit if you are only here briefly. It is situated 70km to the east of Ulaanbaatar and a couple of hours drive out of Ulaanbaatar for you to enjoy natural scenery – open field, gorgeous mountains and rocky hills.  On this tour, we’ll take you for a horse ride and  Turtle rock, Aryabal Monastery, and Chinggis Khaan Statue, the tallest equestrian statue in the world. We pack a lot into this short trip so that you can experience Mongolian lifestyle and that you want to come back again.
Khugnu Khan – Elsen Tasarkhai: Khugnu Khan Nature Reserve is located in 250kms west of Ulaanbaatar. It was being protected as a natural reserve by the state since in 1997 and formed as a national park in 2003. The national park has unique landscape that shows gobi desert, mountain steppe and forest steppe in such harmonized view. Khugnu Khan Nature Reserve covers 84,390 hectare land. It is comprised of Khugnu Khan Mountain range and Elsen tasarkhai (locals call it ‘mini-gobi’) which is a part of the Ikh Mongol sand dunes stretches through 80km with width of 5km.
The capital city of the Great Mongol State was Kharkhorum: By the decree of Genghis Khan, Kharkhorum was chosen in 1220 as the capital of the Great Mongol State, and at that time it served as a political center and a major hub of trade, economy, crafts, religion, culture, and international relations.   Under a UNESCO project, between 1995 and 1998 a Mongolian–Japanese research team produced topographic maps at 1:500 and 1:1000 scales over a 25 square kilometer area of the Kharkhorum city ruins, and conducted geophysical surveys of subsurface structures along with small-scale excavations.
Erdene Zuu Monastery — the first sacred and precious shrine of the Mongol people:  Erdene Zuu Monastery was first established in the late 16th century within the framework of Abtai Sain Khan’s policy and activities to introduce and spread Buddhism in Khalkha. In the summer of 1586 (the Fire Dog year by the lunar calendar), on the fifteenth day of the middle summer month, he erected the main structure of the first temple — the Gol Zuu Temple — on the ruins known as Takhai at the site of the ancient Mongol capital Kharkhorum, thereby laying the foundation of the first Buddhist monastery in Khalkha.
